Atif Hussein created Wocketfone in 2007 as a lab for advanced “skunk works” projects to better understand mobile and the onset of social media. To achieve this goal, he used his extensive network of friends and colleagues who have worked for top Silicon Valley companies for collaboration, advice and development. As such, Wocketfone is able to assemble just-in-time teams uniquely tailored to address each of our customer’s needs from a skill and experience perspective. Our range of expertise is extensive and spans the complete life cycle of a product’s development.
As part of our incubation program, we undertook a “skunk works” project to enable easy and safe commerce at point of sale using your mobile device. After several months of hard work and a few “pivots” along the way, the PAIDPIPER concept was created. We skipped the business plan in favor of product and supporting business development efforts. PAIDPIPER Inc was funded in early Jan 2012 by Venture Capital firms in Silicon Valley and New York. We are very excited to see PAIDPIPER as spin-out into its own entity.

The fun stuff
Media consumption has changed, simply adding a mobile App or mobile website to our customers’ current systems will not yield the results they are looking for. We do, however, concentrate a lot of our efforts on understanding the overall business, and then apply our extensive experience lens in mobility and social media across all screens so that our customers’ interactive presence supports their business strategy and goals. We are a boutique business studio that engages with our customers to develop strategy playbooks in Mobile and Social. Additionally we have been known to produce visually striking products that leverage new media and mobile technologies. We have experts ranging from strategy, product design and all the way to social community managers and production of “frag-movies” for your business. Wocketfone is not an application development factory, but we have some of the best engineers to work on all aspects of product development.

PAIDPIPER
PAIDPIPER is a VC backed start-up which is changing the way people will buy items at POS and online using their mobile phones. As a teaser for their product launch we created a “series” of video shorts or “frags” to air shortly. The unique approach to this project was to create an actual short movie from which we extracted the “frags”.
